Summer Doldrums!

OK I had a difficult time finding a title for this one! Don’t shoot me!

Friday Nite Photography Quote:

OK this is Silly but True and the fact that it comes from the Greatest Darkroom-Techie that ever Lived makes it very appropriate for my Weekend Ramblings! Enjoy!

There is nothing worse than a brilliant image of a fuzzy concept.

So lets just talk about the Finished Product for a moment! You’ve Shot some great Images! You’ve Worked/Edited them and now your crazy happy and everything looks so good you can’t wait to show off your work! What do you do Now? Well we all use the Net for our Image Portfolio’s in one way or another so I’m not gonna touch that here yet! I’m talking about Printing Your wonderful Images so your Public can hold an Image with the Feel of Paper! You see I’m Limited in Printing! My Printing capacity can Only go as far as 8.5×11! Larger than that I send them Out to an Online Lab that does great work! But I do Print for that size or smaller! I never know which paper to use! Sure I have my favorite which feels Like a High Quality Photograph from the late 1990’s! Why you may ask? Because in the late 90’s it was still Film and Digital Didn’t really start for the mindset of the General Public yet! But other than that I’m lost and any old paper that I have kicking around will do? Is that Correct? Nope! But I never know which paper like Glossy or Matte for a certain Subject! Portraits? I don’t know if having a Glossy Image is good even though we’ve all Learned long ago that a Matte Surface for Portraits looks just perfect! What’s all this talk about Cold Press and Hot Press? I try to read but I don’t have a clue!

I receive Ads for certain companies after looking around I will sign up from time to time to see what’s going on! Well I just received a flyer from “Red River Paper”! Which I’ll be Honest here, I’ve heard some great things but I’ve never had the time to Order Printing Paper over the Net for my attempts at this! I’ve read people talking about Red River Paper in some of the Online Forums and they rave about it! Well I just received a Flyer from Red River and curiously it speaks about trying to figure out Which Paper to use for your Work!! Now when it comes to Brand Loyalty I usually am against the butting heads and the “Can You Top This Syndrome”! But for the Camera Makers and there prices once you made your decision and purchased your gear your pretty much stuck! Not So with Paper! Your Not Emotionally Attached! Well for the most part anyway!! LOL

Here’s the Link for the Red River Flyer and as for learning something interesting for Photography I’m Proud to say I try to Share in my knowledge as a way of thanks for my millions of questions if I’m trying to figure something Out!

Later Enjoy and let me know what you think of my Articles! I’ve noticed that I now have a good number of Fans but nobody ever leaves a comment?

OK here’s the Link and make sure you read this! It is Important for the Right Choice to Help Your Image Look its Best!
They also have a few Interesting Links to Help as well!!

Celebration of Growth at Chabad of Little Neck

I had the Honor of being asked to Document the “Celebration of Growth” with the Chabad of Little Neck at Temple Torah on June 11.

I had a wonderful time Photographing this Event!  The People were wonderful and had a great time! There was Plenty of food and laughter! At one point a Boys Choir came out to Entertain those that were already having a good time! I must say these children were wonderful. If you need a bit of Entertainment for a party or Social Event search out “M Generation”! They were excellent!
Here are a few of the Images from that nite!  Enjoy!

Friday Nite Photography Quote!

Remember, not everything is a picture. A good eye can edit before the shutter opens.

Haha I just ran across this Quote and it’s pretty accurate so I wanted to share!

Last week I was approached at the last minute to do a shoot for this past Wednesday Nite! Very formal and a very Classy Awards Dinner/Fund Raiser! I was very Honored that they chose me to shoot this for those that were Celebrated and Honored that Nite! Congrats to all the Honorees! I would say that the Evening was a Raving Success! A lot of people showed up and were having a wonderful time! I just want to say Thank You to the Chabad of Little Neck for choosing me to record your Historic Event!
